On November 1st, Star Communications broke ground on their new 11.5-acre home in Clinton, NC. Designed by Greenville-based JKF ARCHITECTURE, the project includes a two-story Headquarters Building, as well as a one-story Operations Facility. The project will create a permanent home for all Star employees to work, and a central location for members/customers to do business. The Headquarters Building includes a public-facing transaction area, large- and small-scale meeting spaces, multiple office suites, and a dedicated space for the Star Board of Directors. The Operations Building, located behind the Headquarters, includes a number of back-of-house support spaces, as well as a state-of-the-art broadcast studio. A sizable portion of the new property is being converted to pedestrian-friendly, vegetative green space for employees and visitors to enjoy. The building is to be LEED certified, the first of its kind in Sampson County.

The project is expected to be completed in March 2025.
