Pitt County Sheriff’s Office Now Open!
News Description
On August 26th, Pitt County Government officially opened its new home for the Sheriff’s Office in Greenville, North Carolina. Designed by JKF ARCHITECTURE, the new Sheriff’s Office is approximately 33,000 SF and includes space for multiple divisions within the Sheriff’s Department, as well as ample space for fleet management. The construction of this building represents a major step forward for local operations, with the efficient centralization of law enforcement services that previously were spread across the county.
The building includes a central lobby for visitors, with secure entrances into most areas of the facility. Each Division of the Sheriff’s Office has its own area equipped with offices, bathrooms, meeting space, and armory. The building also has a large flexible meeting space, which can host a variety of large-scale function, including serving as a base of operations during emergencies. The project was completed ahead of schedule.
