Pitt County Government New Administration Building

Project Description

JKF Architecture was selected to spearhead the design and construction of a new Administration Building for Pitt County Government, in our hometown of Greenville, North Carolina. This 82,440 SF, two-story building will be located on Government Circle and represents the full, long-term consolidation of most administrative services into one, customer-friendly location. Current administrative operations are located in the area’s old hospital building, a 100-year-old antiquated structure not suited for modern governance. This new building allows the old building to be vacated and privately developed while centralizing the county administrative operations with existing county functions already located at the government complex.

Services included in the new Administration Building include the County Manager’s Office, Economic Development, Engineering, Financial Services, Human Resources, Management Information Systems, Permitting and Inspections, Planning and Development, Register of Deeds, Tax Administration, and Veteran Services. In addition, the building includes a dynamic new meeting space for the nine-member Board of Commissioners. The building also is equipped with ample multipurpose, conferencing, and breakout space for a range of internal and external meetings.
