Pitt County Courthouse Renovations
Project Description
Designed by JKF ARCHITECTURE and finished one month ahead of schedule, this major renovation project included both a new District Courtroom (making six total now available), as well as a Small Claims/Magistrate Court at the Pitt County Courthouse in Greenville. Interior renovations included demolition, meeting room and office reconfiguration, fire protection, HVAC and electrical work, and interior finishes. Work was performed while the building was occupied in other areas as not to disturb ongoing courthouse operations. The renovation was a top priority of the Pitt County Commissioners and was financed using American Rescue Plan funds. The project budget was $1.7 million and was delivered under budget for approximately $1.2 million.
