JKF Completes Boys & Girls Club Project in Edenton
News Description
JKF ARCHITECTURE recently completed work on the old D.F. Walker High School in Edenton, North Carolina. The project was completed in two phases. First, Chowan County Government contracted with JKF ARCHITECTURE for the initial repair of the school’s building envelope — replacing the roof, doors, and windows. Following the sealing of the building’s envelope, JKF entered into contract with the Boy’s & Girl’s Club of The Albemarle to deliver a $1.2 million, 15,000 SF renovation to the first floor of the existing facility. The space now includes an administrative office suite, multiple large classrooms, kitchen area adjoining a multi-purpose space, and new restrooms. The building has been brought up to full compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. JKF ARCHITECTURE was proud to work with the Boys & Girls Club of The Albemarle to deliver this meaningful new location in the heart of downtown Edenton.
