Craven Community College (CCC) selected JKF Architecture to lead the design and construction of an approximately 12,300 SF building to serve as a new Corporate Training Center on the New Bern campus. The Center, located centrally on campus between Kelso Hall and Bate Hall, will primarily be used for professional development as a flexible meeting space to conduct trainings or host educational meetings and seminars. It will allow for larger class sizes to meet or spread out if necessary. The facility includes large, flexible and dividable multipurpose space, capable of accommodating groups as large as 500 people. The event/meeting spaces are supported by a sizable catering kitchen, vending area, restrooms, and significant storage. The building will also serve as a space for local economic development partners to operate. As such, the Center includes an office suite and conference room.
