Courtroom Renovations Complete in Pitt County!
News Description
On August 6th, local government officials officially cut the ribbon on major renovations to the Pitt County Courthouse in Greenville. Designed by JKF ARCHITECTURE and finished one month ahead of schedule, the project included both a new District Courtroom (making six total now available), as well as a Small Claims/Magistrate Court. Interior renovations included demolition, fire protection, HVAC and electrical, and interior finishes. Work was performed while the building was occupied in other areas as not to disturb ongoing courthouse operations. The renovation was a top priority of the Pitt County Commissioners and was financed using American Rescue Plan funds. The project budget was $1.7 million and was delivered under budget for approximately $1.2 million.
