As founder and principal of JKF ARCHITECTURE, John’s experience and vision have helped him cultivate an accomplished and award-winning firm. His insight and leadership have enabled him to serve public and private clients with distinction for over two decades.

John is responsible for the firm’s overall direction, and he is always personally involved with each project from start to finish. John’s steadfast dedication is evidenced by his accessibility, forethought and commitment to developing enduring relationships.

As a graduate of the New Jersey Institute of Technology, John is degreed in both Architecture and Civil Engineering. He is a Registered Architect in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and New Jersey, and he is certified with the National Council of Architectural Registration Board. In addition, he is a member of the American Institute of Architects and has previously held numerous offices for both AIA North Carolina and the Eastern Section of AIANC. John is also a LEED Accredited Professional, further demonstrating his commitment to sustainable and responsible design. Under John’s leadership, JKF ARCHITECTURE has received three Certificate of Merit Awards from the State Construction Office for demonstrating excellence in the design and construction of projects for the State of North Carolina.

With over 20 years of architectural project design experience, Mark handles CADD design and development, technical production and CADD System Standards for JKF ARCHITECTURE. In addition to his command of Architectural Desktop/AutoCad, he assists in project construction administration including shop drawing review and field observation. Mark is a critical part of overall coordination from project to project.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from East Carolina University.

A native of Eastern North Carolina, Mallory is an Architectural Designer at JKF ARCHITECTURE. She earned a, Associate Degree in Arts from Lenoir Community College and an Associate Degree in Applied Science from Pitt Community College’s Architectural Technologies program. She supports CADD design and development work and is an important part of our technical production team.

John Herridge joined JKF ARCHITECTURE in August 2023 as an Architectural Designer and another important member of the production team. Prior to joining JKF, he worked in both Florida and Massachusetts, developing specializations in adaptive reuse, renovations, and planning.

John is a graduate of Florida A&M University, where he earned both a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, as well as a Master of Architecture.

A native of Eastern North Carolina, Brittany Parker is an Interior Designer at JKF ARCHITECTURE. Brittany earned a B.S. in Interior Design from East Carolina University’s College of Human Ecology, as well as an Associate Degree in Applied Science from Pitt Community College’s Architectural Technologies program.

In all she does, Brittany applies her specialized expertise and skillsets as a valuable member of the JKF ARCHITECTURE Design Team.

Brian Farkas is the Director of Development and Client Relations at JKF ARCHITECTURE. Brian received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Master of Public Administration from the UNC School of Government in Chapel Hill. At JKF ARCHITECTURE, Brian takes a lead role in both developing new projects for the Design Team and works with clients on long-range master plans.

Prior to joining JKF ARCHITECTURE, Brian worked for the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), one of 27 research institutes that comprise the National Institutes of Health (NIH). He specialized in emergency management programming to safeguard the lives and prized research of over 1,000 people.

Brian is passionate about public service and has served on a number of boards and commissions. He is a two-term President of the Greenville Museum of Art and sat on the Legislative Issues Committee for the local Greenville-Pitt County Chamber of Commerce. He is a former commissioner on the Public Transportation and Parking Commission for the City of Greenville, as well as a former Board Director for Rocking Horse Ranch Therapeutic Riding Program. In 2019, Governor Cooper appointed Brian to serve on the Disciplinary Hearing Commission of the North Carolina State Bar. In November 2020, Brian was elected to serve Pitt County’s 9th District in the North Carolina House of Representatives.
